Jane Young – Director Regulatory Compliance

Jane brings more than 25 years of industry experience with a focus on regulatory and compliance. Jane started her career working in Operations Department for regional NYSE member firms. She transitioned into the Regulatory Reporting areas as FINOP responsible for Net Capital, Reserve Formula and FOCUS Report filings. Seeking additional challenges she moved to Compliance and eventually worked as an Examiner for NASD District 3. She has spent the last 15 years at front/back office system providers guiding those vendors through the ever-increasing regulatory initiatives. Areas of expertise include conversions, application implementations, regulatory reporting programs such as OATS, TRACE, RTRS, INSITE, Blue Sheets and other operations, regulatory and compliance processes.

Michael is a seasoned industry professional with over 25 years of expertise in the management of options, margin, settlements commodities and trading, Michael’s experience includes senior level positions at large broker-dealers that bring a comprehensive understanding of securities operations, trading and technology platforms.
Prior to joining Verus, Michael was the Founder of a national consulting firm. In that role, he managed projects of every size at large and small brokerage firms. Through understanding client needs, he grew a talented experienced consultant staff with numerous consultants averaging ten or more years of experience in the financial industry.
In 2008, he brought his talents and experience to Verus Consulting Group, LLC. His leadership role as Director at Verus is where he manages the staffing, placement and day to day operations. He brings his talents and expertise to the table when understanding the needs of a financial institution when managing engagements. Michael’s leadership and philosophy is that our firm and our consultants establish a relationship of trust and value with our clients.
Lois Schmitz – PMP IT/Business Program/Project manager
Lois Schmitz is a trusted Project Management Professional with more than 25 years of Financial Services Industry experience. She is an accomplished financial services consultant with an extensive background in Business and Information systems including program management, project management, application development, and comprehensive quality assurance. Lois has managed several projects throughout her career representing both business and information technology (IT) teams. Lois has an impressive list of career accomplishments as a Project Manager, ranging from numerous Brokerage Platform conversions and deconversions to managing the move of hundreds of brokerage operations technology staff to various locations including on-shore/off-shore resources.
Thomas D’Amato – Director of Business Development

Tom has more than 20 years of financial services industry experience with emphasis on brokerage processing and financial advisor desktop applications. Tom’s career began as a corporate actions supervisor for a regional brokerage firm and later transitioned into management roles for one of the industry’s leading securities processing provider. Tom’s experience in the securities processing field includes managing client services, assisting client s with their platform conversions and supervising business development. In addition to his extensive industry knowledge, Tom is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute.

Tom has more than 20 years of industry and management experience in the financial services industry. Tom has managed several areas of clearing operations and correspondent clearing Broker Dealers. He has also worked for both front and back office system providers/vendors helping firms transition from introducing to self clearing broker dealers while implementing a new back office application. His areas of expertise are brokerage operations, conversions, application implementations and integrations, customer tax reporting, dividends, and general operations process automation.
Krista M. Jusczak – Director of Talent Acquisition

Krista brings 17 years of industry experience within financial services to her recruiting efforts. Her focus in recruiting is relationship building with Program Managers, Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts and Business Analysts within areas of Financial Services, Brokerage, Banking, Insurance, and Health Care. Her professional experience prior to recruiting, includes working in the capacity of Director of Client Relations, Marketing Coordinator, Case Manager and a Project Coordinator as a consultant; knowing both the consulting role and the recruiting role has given Krista a better understanding and ability to communicate with her candidates . Krista is Pareto Systems Certified and Advanced Client Relationship certified. While working hands on within the insurance industry Krista held her Life, Accident & Health License. Krista has her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radio/Television Broadcasting from Brown Institute, Minneapolis, MN.
